Klein ISD Named Statewide Finalist in H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards

H-E-B has named Klein ISD a statewide finalist in the company’s 20th annual Excellence in Education Awards program.

Klein ISD received finalist distinction in the program’s large school district category, encompassing those with 10,000 or more students enrolled, alongside only four other districts from across the state. Klein ISD previously earned the same distinction in 2019, one of only two districts in the state to do so.

Being named a finalist is yet another indicator of Klein ISD’s continued tradition of excellence and innovation in academics, the arts, and athletics.

“This award recognizes school districts for their commitment to student achievement, innovative pathways and programs, strong fiscal management, and family engagement,” Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “I am so proud of our district, our incredibly dedicated teachers, our hard-working support staff, and, of course, our Klein ISD students and community.”

Winners will be announced at the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards ceremony on April 30.
