Hassler Elementary Students, Teacher Honored at Board Meeting

The Klein ISD Board of Trustees recognized two outstanding Hassler Elementary students and one stellar staff member at the January Board meeting for their dedication to success in the classroom.

Beloved Kindergarten teacher Ms. Tanya Shaw has built a student-centered environment for her classroom. It’s no surprise that she touches every student’s life with whom she comes into contact.

“Ms. Shaw loves her students, but she also pushes them to achieve their highest potential,” Hassler Elementary Principal Sarah Brown said. “We are so honored to have Ms. Shaw with us here at Hassler.”

Student Brooklyn is a leader both on and off the field. This excellent student displays the “we not me” attitude and is a great help to her teacher and classmates.

“Brooklyn is the sweetest, most kindhearted person and brings out all sorts of wonderful qualities in every one of her classmates,” Hassler Teacher Karie Schroeder said.

Student Spencer is a leader among his classmates and is always working well in class by himself and with others. This dynamic student shows his leadership abilities in academics and other avenues as well.

“Spencer helps out during the music program, is on the leadership team, plays sports, attends activities after school, and so much more,” said Julie Lipsea, Hassler Elementary Teacher. “I am so proud of him and the way he is a model for positivity here at Hassler.”

Congratulations to these wonderful Hassler Ponies for going above and beyond in your academic journey. Your Klein Family is proud of your achievements!
