Four Klein Forest Student-Athletes Participate in 2022 National Signing Day

Four student-athletes signed a letter of intent for the college of their choice today during Klein Forest’s National Signing Day celebration.

“The hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of our student-athletes is what got them to this point,” Klein Forest Athletic Director John Wilson said. “Thank you to all the families involved — their sacrifice, support, and love has paid off and I know that our athletes truly appreciate them. Thank you to all the coaches involved — trainers, youth league coaches, and our Klein Forest coaches — their commitment to our kids is truly amazing. Lastly, I want to say thank you to all of our student-athletes for the long practices, grueling games, and the love and support they have for Klein Forest. Athletes, you will always have a home here at Klein Forest. Once an eagle, always an eagle.”

The signing day ceremony was a recognition of many years of hard work and was an emotional day for students, teams, families, and coaches.

“This is a huge accomplishment, not just for me, but for my family as well. I am the first person in my family to go to college,” Angelo State University and Klein Forest running back Kendrick Bradley said. “This day goes to show that hard work really pays off. You can’t just wake up and say that you’re going to be a college athlete — you have to put in work every day and you don’t do this alone. A huge thank you to my family who have always supported me. All of my coaches were there for me when I went through a lot of hard stuff. Coach Smith, my running back coach, is someone who has been in my corner since the eighth-grade and I know that he will still be in my corner in this next stage of my athletic and academic career. To all other athletes who want to make it to the college level: Work hard, stay focused, grind, buy in, commit, listen to your coaches — no excuses.”

We are so proud of our athletes for choosing where they will continue their academic and athletic careers. Your Klein Family is always cheering you on!
