Klein Cain Robotics Gears up For State Competition
The Klein Cain Robotics team is back and better than ever! These talented students and reigning champions are ready to defend their title at the SkillsUSA State Vex Competition March 28-30 in Corpus Christi, and the TSA State Vex Competition on April 21-23 in San Jacinto.
These elite students put forth many months of hard work and dedicated effort into designing and programming autonomous and manually controlled robots. Following last year’s win at state and after being named 4th in the nation, the Klein Cain Robotics team is looking forward to a gripping, high stakes competition.
“I’m really looking forward to defending our championship title at state and in-person this year,” student Alex Etienne said. “Having the chance to meet with other teams and go over their design process is a huge motivation for me and one of the best parts of engineering and robotics.”
While this tradition of excellence and success for the Robotics Team is courtesy of these talented young engineers, it also wouldn’t be possible without Mr. Malchar’s unwavering dedication and guidance towards his students.
“It is a point of pride for me to see the team achieve success after success,” Mr. Malchar said. “This is the 5th year in a row that the robotics team is going to state. That says a lot about the students and the program we have here at Klein Cain. I’m very proud of them.”
