Teacher Feature: Tameka Montgomery, Ehrhardt Elementary

Eagles are soaring higher than ever at Ehrhardt Elementary with Ms. Montgomery’s commitment to her students!

As a mom and Klein ISD community member, Ms. Montgomery saw the values and dedication that teachers instilled in her children first-hand which inspired her to become a teacher.

“I live in the Klein community,” said Ms. Montgomery. “To see how the teachers put so much dedication in their students, I knew that working for Klein would be a great fit for me.”

Through building great relationships with her students and being a master at routines and procedures, Ms. Montgomery has taken her Eagles under her wing to ensure they are succeeding everyday. The structure she provides through her high-quality teaching is helping her students achieve high results in their learning.

“I wanted a career in which I felt I was doing good in the world,” said Ms. Montgomery. “Where I could truly make a positive impact on a child’s life.”

Ms. Montgomery is committed to teaching her students to always be curious thinkers. In fact, asking questions is a huge part of her classroom culture. She hopes her students leave her classroom with the confidence to challenge themselves by looking for answers and learning to enrich their lives.
