VIDEO: College and Career Pathways Team Wins Superintendent Initiative Award

The Klein ISD College and Career Pathways Team has been named a recipient of the esteemed Superintendent’s Initiative Award. 

This rockstar team, consisting of Executive Director of College and Career Pathways Beth Gilleland, Director of Advanced Academics Kathleen Plott, and Director of Career and Technical Education Deborah Bronner-Westerduin, deserves this award for the hard work and dedication they’ve selflessly provided while preparing our students for advanced pathways to success. 

“I’m so grateful to the College and Career Pathways Team for always taking the initiative to create innovative and advanced pathways for our students in Klein ISD,” Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “We are so blessed to have their unwavering leadership in our Klein Family.”

Ms. Gilleland, Ms. Plott, and Ms. Bronner-Westerduin are wonderful leaders and forever learners. Every year, these educators work to enhance current pathway options while looking for innovative ways to add new pathways to meet the needs of every student.

With the College and Career Pathways team at the helm, opportunities are endless for our students. The different college and career pathways and certifications give our students the opportunity to take hold of their future to fulfill their purpose.

“It’s amazing to witness these individuals who are so passionate and have such a strong confidence and expertise in their field,” Chief Academic Officer Dr. Anthony Indelicato said. “It’s really playing out daily in our schools with all the pathway options for our students. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work with them.”
