Coleman Hall-Brown – 2022 Klein High Valedictorian

Coleman Hall-Brown – 2022 Klein High Valedictorian

Klein High senior and Valedictorian Coleman Hall-Brown is a curious learner and leader whose compassion and character speak volumes alongside his outstanding academic achievements which include being a National Merit Finalist, National Honor Society member, earning a perfect score on both the SAT and ACT, and becoming a 3-time state qualifier in the Science University Interscholastic League where he won third-place.

“Coleman has been a true pleasure to teach because his character is as impressive as his GPA,” Klein High Director of Choirs Tim Winebrenner said. “In every situation, he has shown diligence, grace, integrity, and kindness. Whether he is accompanying a classmate on a solo, leading the section with his sight-reading skills, or eagerly learning about music theory, Coleman has earned every academic and social accolade he receives.”

Clearly, Coleman is committed to being a well-rounded scholar and embraces his creative side, all of which he is grateful to be able to do at Klein High. Coleman is an Eagle Scout, Algebra tutor, and candidate for the United States Presidential Scholarship. He has won both a Scholastic Gold Key in writing and a Scholastic Silver Key in visual art.

“One huge way I’ve benefited from being a student in Klein ISD is how many different classes I’ve been able to take,” Coleman said. “As a freshman, I expected to run out of classes by my senior year, but that’s not the case at all. I’ve been able to take fun, interesting, and useful electives like music theory, medical microbiology, digital art, choir, organic chemistry, and more.”

Coleman’s leadership skills shined during his time as President of the Science National Honor Society, Science Club, and his church youth group. He also served as Treasurer in HOSA-Future Health Professionals where he volunteered 100 hours of his time and even placed first internationally in the HOSA Bowl.

“Another great thing about being a student in Klein ISD has been the opportunity to compete in a variety of competitions,” Coleman said. “The main competitions I participated in were science UIL and HOSA, and both of them have given me the opportunity to work with great advisors, develop my knowledge and communication, and even win prizes!”

Coleman plans to major in Computer Science at Brigham Young University next year and hopes to go on to medical school to become an OBGYN.

We are in awe of this exemplary scholar and his heart for others. Coleman, your Klein Family is so proud of you and we cannot wait to see you achieve your dreams and continue on your journey to becoming an amazing health professional. Congratulations!
