The Krimmel Intermediate Symphonic Band Earns Invitation to The Midwest Clinic in Chicago
The Krimmel Intermediate Symphonic Band has been invited to perform at the 76th Annual Midwest Clinic held in Chicago, Illinois.
With more than 18,000 attendees, 400 exhibitors, 700 booths, 50 performances, and 120+ clinics, The Midwest Clinic is one of the largest music conventions in the country.
“I am so proud of the Krimmel Intermediate Symphonic Band for receiving this prestigious invitation,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “To see these talented musicians and devoted educators give their all and have it pay off is very rewarding. Our Klein Family couldn’t be prouder of them.”
Over the last six decades, guests have arrived from all 50 states as well as more than 40 foreign countries, making each conference unique and diverse in the talent and knowledge it contains. Each year, several hundred ensembles apply to receive an invitation to perform, and it’s an absolute honor that Krimmel Intermediate Symphonic Band was one of only a select few chosen for this opportunity.
“Being invited to perform at The Midwest Clinic is such an honor and privilege that we cannot wait to experience in December,” Krimmel Head Band Director Stetson Begin said. “We are thrilled to represent the state of Texas and Klein ISD on the national level! This performance will be a memory that the students and directors will cherish their entire lifetime. There is nothing better than making musical memories with friends and we are ecstatic to begin our journey to showing the nation how special Krimmel Intermediate and its students are.”
