Cecilia Nguyen – Klein Collins Valedictorian

Cecilia Nguyen – Klein Collins Valedictorian

Klein Collins Valedictorian Cecilia Nguyen is one top Tiger to keep your eye on! Cecilia is a well-rounded scholar whose commitment to education, leadership, and community service shines through in all she does.

“Cecilia is a true scholar. She has a passion for learning which, along with an out-of-this-world ability to synthesize and retain knowledge, results in academic and intellectual perfection,” Klein Collins Math teacher Elaine Drugan said.

Cecilia is a natural leader. She served as the National Honor Society President, Mu Alpha Theta President, Science National Honor Society Vice President, Orchestra Senior Representative, Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Region Fundraising Chair, International Humanitarian Law Chair, and the Youth Action Campaign Team Lead and Regional Coordinator.

Cecilia’s leadership experience is impressive, and her academic accomplishments are equally commendable. Cecilia is a Kode with Klossy Scholar, National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction.

When it comes to serving her community, Cecilia has been a Vietnamese Eucharist Youth Movement member, St. Joseph Education Center Teacher Assistant, and American Red Cross Vietnamese Class Instructor.

Cecilia participated in extracurricular activities that deepened her interest in language and literacy. She participated in the Klein Collins Latin Club, where she scored a perfect score on the National Latin Exam and earned a Scholastic Gold Key in Personal Memoir and Poetry. She is also a 2-time first place winner in Phrases, Mottoes, and Abbreviations at the JCL Area Competition.

Her achievements are outstanding, but Cecilia’s gratitude for all of the educators who impacted her throughout her 13 years in Klein ISD is a true testament to her character.

“I will forever cherish every teacher that made their classroom a comfortable space for me to dream and grow both as a student and as a person,” Cecilia said. “Moreover, I will always carry with me the memories of stomach cramping laughter from extracurricular events and all the moments with all the beautiful people I met through these places.”

Cecilia’s legacy at Klein Collins will always be her joyful spirit and steadfast determination.

“Cecilia, you have taught us not only to reach for the stars but how to attain our goals with integrity and excellence. May all your dreams come true,” Mrs. Drugan said.

Cecilia is undecided on her choice of university but plans to major in Chemistry.

We know this Tiger is truly the embodiment of Excellence without Compromise, and we wish her all the best! Cecilia, your Klein Family is cheering you on in your next life journey.
