Klein Collins High School Graduates 788 Seniors
The theme of celebration has been prevalent this week as Klein Collins High School has officially graduated 788 seniors from the Class of 2022.
With the ceremony taking place at Klein Memorial Stadium, our Tigers were overjoyed to return “home” to recognize this momentous occasion.
“We are so grateful for the privilege of honoring and celebrating this wonderful class of incredible young people with families, friends, and community,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Congratulations to every graduate for your hard work, determination, and resilience in getting to this important education milestone.”
Dr. McGown also gave special recognition to seniors who have attended Klein ISD schools for their entire academic career since Kindergarten as well as seniors who have committed to serving our great Nation in the United States Military post-graduation.
Student commencement speaker Cecilia Nguyen delivered an engaging and moving speech urging seniors to give themselves grace.
“You carried yourself here through the results of your own power. A power that supported you through sickness, long nights, mental health crises, physical exhaustion, procrastination, and everything the world threw at you,” Nguyen said. “I’ve had the opportunity to laugh and learn alongside you guys for four years now and I think I speak for more than myself when I say that I’m glad you are the people I could graduate with. As we go our separate ways from the navy and gold walls of Klein Collins, I hope you all never forget that power within you, in both your darkest and brightest moments.”
