Klein ISD Communication Team Brings Home 20 State, 1 National Award
In a first for Klein ISD, the Communications Department is bringing home a national communications award in addition to 20 State awards.
Klein ISD is one of only 8 districts in Texas to be awarded a Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).
“I could not be more proud of the incredibly thoughtful, student-focused work our Communications team does day in and day out to so beautifully tell our Klein Family story,” Klein ISD Superintendent, Dr. Jenny McGown said. “This recognition of their efforts to communicate with such clarity and genuine care is very well-deserved.”
According to NSPRA, “the Golden Achievement award recognizes outstanding, strategic work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing and engagement.”
In addition to the national award from NSPRA, Klein ISD’s State honors from the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) included three “Best in State” Star Awards along with 14 gold, 6 silver, and 1 Platinum Award Finalist recognition.
The district was recognized for excellence in categories ranging from newsletters to videos to social media campaigns and more.
“The talent, creativity, teamwork, and expertise of our communications is unmatched,” Associate Superintendent of Communications and Public Relations Dayna Hernandez said. “This team balances sharing the unique, amazing stories of our Klein Family and working through crisis communication with care, consistency, and clear communication. I am so proud to call them my family and honored to work and learn alongside these brilliant and talented people.”
