Kuehnle Elementary Students, Teacher Honored at Board Meeting

The Klein ISD Board of Trustees recognized two outstanding Kuehnle Elementary students and one remarkable staff member at the October Board meeting for their dedication to success in the classroom.

Kuehnle Elementary first-grade teacher Ms. Erin Sifuentes is deeply committed to serving her colleagues, students, and the school community. She successfully fosters a classroom culture of innovation, self-reflection, and inclusiveness.

“What we love most about Ms. Sifuentes is how she supports her students, providing targeted support on both behavior and academics, in a way that is so inspirational as she cares for the whole learner,” Kuehnle Elementary Principal Julia Funk said.

Fifth-grade student Gavin always shows the “Profile of a Learner” qualities and is a goal-oriented problem solver. He is currently learning to play the viola in Fifth-Grade Strings and is incredibly kind and respectful to his fellow students and Kuehnle staff.

“Gavin is an amazing student who is always looking for ways to solve problems by looking outside the box,” fifth-grade teacher Ms. Natalie Skibinski said. “He always challenges himself in every aspect of the school day.”

Fifth-grade student Gabriela consistently shows the “Profile of a Learner” qualities. She always builds positive relationships with her peers and the community. Gabriela has helped with ACCESS students, is a Kuehnle Kind Club officer, and volunteers with the Houston Rockets outside school.

“Gabi is a problem solver who shows her determination to succeed,” fifth-grade teacher Ms. Lupe Riojas said. “She is always finding ways to be a class leader, helping the teacher or her fellow students. She is a values-driven leader.”

Congratulations to these Koalas for going above and beyond to serve Kuehnle and the Klein ISD community better. Your #KleinFamily is proud of your achievements!
