Klein ISD to Host First-Ever Makerfest

Klein ISD to Host First-Ever Makerfest

Klein ISD families are invited to the first-ever Makerfest on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

This STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and literacy-based event will be held at Klein Cain High School from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Families are invited to gather and take part in makerspace activities. The event aims to empower every student with opportunities to read, create, and explore in a welcoming learning environment.

Students, families, and community members will be able to participate in interactive activities such as puzzles, various challenges, and building activities. Throughout the morning, there will be prizes given out. In addition, the event will allow families to participate in activities that will allow them to elaborate, refine, analyze and evaluate their ideas to improve and maximize creative efforts.

During Makerfest, students will have the opportunity to build on their academic knowledge, ignite creativity, and a love of reading through makerspaces that develop critical thinking skills, and strengthen partnerships with our district community.

Our Klein ISD librarians are excited to see you and your family at the 2022 Makerfest!
