Epps Island Elementary Students, Teacher Honored at November Board Meeting
The Klein ISD Board of Trustees recognized a phenomenal Epps Island Elementary staff member and two exceptional students at the November Board meeting for their dedication to success in the classroom.
Fourth-grade teacher Ms. Libby Jackson is a prime example for her students. There is no task that is too difficult for her to achieve. Ms. Jackson takes on challenges with extreme confidence and encourages her students to do the same.
“You can see Ms. Jackson interacting with her students in small groups,” Epps Island Principal Trena Grice said. “She always believes that her students will do their very best.”
Fifth-grade teacher Ms. Alaynie Domec has had the privilege of teaching Alan since the third grade. She has watched him grow both academically and personally. Not only is he an excellent student who is always ready to achieve, but he is also someone others look up to in the classroom.
“Alan is always there to take care of his classmates,” Ms. Domec said. “He’s an excellent leader, and I can’t wait to see what he does in the future.”
Ana is a tenacious student who never backs down from a challenge. Every day she strives to learn and perfect the concepts she learns in class.
“Whenever given a task, Ana will do whatever it takes to complete it,” fifth-grade teacher Ms. Leeana Winter said. “She then shares what she’s learned with her peers.”
Congratulations to these Epps Island Super Tigers! Ms. Jackson, Alan, and Ana, your Klein family is so proud of you.
