David Patton Named Distinguished Alumnus for January
At the January meeting of the Board of Trustees, Mr. David Patton was honored as the Distinguished Klein ISD Alumnus. Mr. Patton was nominated by Board Trustee Mr. Dustin Creager.
Mr. Patton is a proud product of Klein ISD, having attended Benfer and Ehrhardt Elementary, Kleb Intermediate, and Klein High School. While in school, Mr. Patton played on the intermediate tennis team and was a standleader at Klein High.
After graduating from Klein High, Mr. Patton attended and graduated from Texas A&M University.
“I would like to thank everyone for the great recognition,” Mr. Patton said. “One of the things I feel strongly about is the more you put into the community, the better the community is. The teachers and staff do a wonderful job. I’m fortunate to call Klein ‘home,’ and I’m happy to be part of the family.”
Mr. Patton began his career in real estate almost 20 years ago when he joined the family business to become a second generation Realtor® with the Grayson-Patton Team. In 2007, Mr. Patton became the team’s leader and was joined by his lovely wife, Summer, to create what is known today as the Patton Team. Mr. Patton is a licensed Broker, the highest real estate licensing level, with over 900 hours of education.
He has been recognized for almost a decade as a ‘Five Star Realtor’ by Texas Monthly and Houston Association of Realtors as a ‘Top 20 Realtor Under 40’. In addition, he rates highly on HAR’s customer surveys. Clients range from all walks of life, including investors, new construction buyers, luxury buyers and sellers, first-time home buyers, corporate relocation customers, and commercial landowners.
In addition to his successful career, he holds a passion for service in the community. During his free time, you can find Mr. Patton supporting the American Heart Association as a past Heart Walk Co-Chair and Go Red Executive Leadership Team. He also serves the Cypress Creek EMS as a current Executive Board Secretary, works with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo in roles like Chairman of Equipment Acquisition and current Captain on Parade Committee, and supports the district directly as a Frank Elementary Booster and PTO Silver Level Sponsor!
Mr. Patton shines through his service with the Klein Volunteer Fire Department, where he has worked previously as a Firefighter for 20 years. Mr. Patton is fondly known as the First Responder’s Realtor and goes out of his way to care for the men and women who proudly work on the front lines.
Mr. Patton enjoys being an uncle to his four nephews and niece and being a dad to two beloved dogs and a horse. If you don’t find the alum working or volunteering, you might find him enjoying downtime in his favorite fishing spot!
