24 Klein Oak Student-Athletes Participate in 2023 National Signing Day

Twenty-four student-athletes signed letters of intent for the college of their choice today during Klein Oak’s National Signing Day celebration.

“National Signing Day is a big part of what it’s all about,” Klein Oak Athletic Director Brandon Carpenter said. “Getting to see these young people do the work they had to do to be able to offer them these opportunities is so awesome. Today is the culmination of everything they have been working so hard toward.”

The signing day ceremony recognized many years of hard work and was an emotional day for students, teams, families, and coaches. Senior swimmer Izabella “Bella” Ortiz was excited to share in the festivities of signing day and formally commit to Chapman University.

“I’m excited to be signing today,” she said. “I’m just really excited for this new chapter. I’m going to California, which is completely different, but I’m excited to start at Chapman University. I want to thank my parents because they’ve been through a lot with me, my sister, and all my coaches that have been with me along the way.”
