Krimmel Band Amazes Audience at Midwest Clinic with Phenomenal Performance

The Krimmel Symphonic Band recently represented Klein ISD on the international stage at The Midwest Clinic. The students had a phenomenal performance and were able to perform for several hundred educators and guests from across the country.

With more than 18,000 attendees, 400 exhibitors, 700 booths, 50 performances, and 120+ clinics, The Midwest Clinic is one of the largest music conventions in the world.

Krimmel Intermediate Head Band Director Stetson Begin was proud of his students and their journey to the Chicago stage.

“I am incredibly proud of my students for their dedication and hard work in preparing for and performing at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic,” Begin said. “Their commitment and passion for music are evident in their outstanding performance. I am honored to be their teacher and work with them daily. We have made memories that will last a lifetime, and I am so glad we got to share the culture of excellence that the Krimmel Band represents. They have made themselves, their school, and their community proud, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for these talented young musicians.”

After all the time spent in practice and classroom instruction, Krimmel students, like eighth grader Jett Joshua, were excited to put their all into the performance. Jett was also grateful for the opportunity to perform and make memories.

“Being able to go on this trip with all of my friends in the band was great,” Jett said. “I liked going to the aquarium and trying different kinds of food. Playing for a huge audience was a little scary, but was also very rewarding.”

Over the last six decades, guests have arrived from all 50 states and more than 40 foreign countries, making each conference unique and diverse in its talent and knowledge. Each year, several hundred ensembles apply to receive an invitation to perform, and it’s an absolute honor that Krimmel Intermediate Symphonic Band was one of only a select few chosen for this opportunity.

Congratulations to these fantastic students and their talented directors! Your #KleinFamily is proud of you and the fabulous performance you delivered.
