Strack Intermediate Students, Teacher Honored at Board Meeting
KLEIN, Texas – The Klein ISD Board of Trustees recognized two outstanding Strack Intermediate students and one remarkable staff member at the February Board meeting for their dedication to success in the classroom.
Ms. Carlye Read, a Strack Intermediate teacher, is results-focused, leads by example, and has high expectations for every student in her classroom. She is a lifelong learner whose classroom fosters an environment of risk-taking, innovation, and self-reflection.
“Her ability to build positive relationships with her students and our staff makes her a trusted leader on our campus,” Strack Principal Leslie Kompelien said. “Ms. Read always strives to provide engaging student experiences, and we are so grateful for her.”
Strack Cougar, Hannah, is an excellent student who always pursues excellence in class. This student is a leader in and out of the classroom and always keeps going, even when facing setbacks.
“Hannah always amazes me with her pursuit of excellence. She is self-reflective and disciplined,” Teacher Ms. Jennnifer Everett said. “She is involved in many school activities and always manages to stay organized and prepared.”
Student Christopher accurately represents Strack’s core values and is an excellent example to his peers. He is a great role model and impacts those around him continuously for the better.
“Christopher is the epitome of resilience and perseverance,” Teacher Ms. Liliana Etherington said. “He had a devastating ankle injury during football in October, which had him out of school for several weeks. Yet, Christopher never made excuses for unfinished work and has a positive attitude and extraordinary ability to build relationships with his peers.”
Congratulations to these Cougars for going above and beyond to better serve Strack and the Klein ISD community. Your #KleinFamily is proud of your achievements!
