Second Grade Student-Chef Jams Out in the Kitchen
Mueller Elementary second grader Mina Cole is cooking up some magic in the kitchen and in the hearts of our Klein Family.
The imaginative Mueller Star has a passion for the kitchen and started the hobby two years ago when quarantining with her family and helping out her parents in the kitchen.
“Mommy and Daddy have inspired me to cook,” Mina said. “We cook together daily; I started helping as soon as possible. Maybe at age 2 or 3. I love to cook and make people smile!”
Mina’s cookbook Rock your Kitchen has succeeded, and the little chef recently appeared on Houston Life News for two of her Halloween recipes. Mina was also featured on Food Network’s The Kitchen for her twist on the pizza bagel, adding a teriyaki version in an effort to share her Japanese culture.
Along with her blossoming talent, Mina also hopes to encourage kids worldwide to explore and take in all the fun of cooking and does this by sharing kid-friendly recipes on her social media platforms. The dedicated student chef is part of Step Stool Chef, which helps students become independent in the kitchen. Mina is also in a cooking club for kids called Cooking Buddies.
