Northampton Elementary Students, Teacher Honored at Board Meeting

The Klein ISD Board of Trustees recognized a phenomenal Northampton Elementary staff member and two outstanding students at the March Board meeting for their dedication to success in the classroom.

Northampton fifth-grade Math teacher Ms. Pavani Gottumukkala, affectionately called “Ms. G,” is an exceptional educator and forever learner. This year, she has challenged herself to learn a new skill by joining fifth-grade strings to learn the Cello. But, just as she holds herself to a high standard, she does the same for her students, consistently finding ways to help them succeed.

“She relentlessly pursues the success of every student and holds all of her students to high expectations,” Northampton Elementary Principal Lisa Campbell said. “She is great at creating pathways to ensure all students meet their ambitious goals.”

Abbey is an exceptional fifth-grade student who lights up the room. She has a heart of gold and goes above and beyond to succeed and help her peers. Abbey never backs down from a challenge and faces it head-on; she has an incredible problem-solving ability with a bright future.

“Abbey always comes to school with a smile on her face and ready to learn,” Fifth-grade teacher Ms. Brittany Ferguson said. “Everything she does, she does at 110 percent. Abbey is an all-around outstanding student.”

Fifth-grade student Jake stands out academically and personally. His sense of humor and excellent dance skills are some of the things that make him so unique. Those around him admire his ambition to surpass expectations and be a leader among his peers.

“Jake is such an amazing student,” Fifth-grade teacher Ms. Pavani Gottumukkala said. “He is focused on excelling at whatever he does and takes great pride in his work. Not only is he academically outstanding, but he is also a very polite and respectful student.”

Congratulations, Ms. G, Abbey, and Jake! We are so proud of all of your hard work and dedication.
