Klein ISD Named Best Community for Music Education for 12th Straight Year

For the 12th consecutive year, Klein ISD has been named a 2023 Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation.
The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders and their support for music education as part of a well-rounded education for all children.
“This prestigious honor is evidence once again that in Klein ISD we uphold and value our longstanding tradition of excellence in the arts,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “I am so proud of our outstanding educators and talented student-musicians for once again earning this national recognition.”
To qualify for this designation, districts must complete a 50-page application that examines various data about music education within the district, including programs, funding, and enrollment.
“We could not be more thrilled about this recognition! This distinction is a direct tribute to the tireless work our music educators pour into our students daily,” Klein ISD Fine Arts Director Creston Herron said. “To say that we are proud of these programs for this achievement would be an understatement.”
