Klein Forest Soars to Victory at State, Full District Results Included

KLEIN, TX – The Klein Forest Golden Eagles achieved new heights at the UIL Track & Field State Meet, with the boys soaring to an overall first-place team win and the girls clinching the second-place team win. This is the second time in program history that the Klein Forest boys have won it all at State.

The boys dominated in both the Boys’ 4x100m and Boys’ 4x400m relays with dual first-place wins.

The girls matched this impressive performance with their own pair of first-place victories in both the Girls’ 4x100m and Girls’ 4x200m relays.

For the Boys, sprinter Jelani Watkins placed first in the Boys’ 200m race, and Lawson Jacobs placed second in the Boys’ 400m event, further consolidating the team’s dominance and showcasing their extraordinary speed and skill.

Watkins was joined by Jaden Galloway, Parker Jenkins, and Ahmir Robinson in the Boys’ 4x100m relay, while in the Boys’ 4×400 relay, he shared the track with Lawson Jacobs, A’lsayha Brown, and Terrence Morris.

Avia Jones, C’Nai Childress, Nia Hampton, and Kyaliah Davis made up both of the Girls’ relay teams.

“Our athletes have showcased their tireless dedication, resilience, and sheer talent,” Klein Forest Head Track Coach Remon Smith said. “It’s their hard work that has led to such an extraordinary performance.”

The Golden Eagles’ performance was met with praise from our Superintendent, Dr. Jenny McGown.

“This incredible performance by Klein Forest truly showcases Klein ISD’s commitment to excellence in all pursuits,” McGown said. “We could not be more proud of these hardworking, gifted student-athletes. They deserve to be celebrated for this tremendous level of success.”

Rounding out the notable performances of the State meet, Klein High’s India Alix clinched 3rd place in the Long Jump, earning herself a State medal.

“Our Klein Forest Track teams work hard all season long to get to a place where they can exceed expectations at the state level,” Klein Forest Principal Lance Alexander said. “This State Championship is just a testament to the bond that our student-athletes and coaches share with one another. I am thankful for the dedication and commitment our coaches have for our kids, the determination of our athletes, and the great support from our families and the Klein Forest community. Congratulations to our track teams on a season to remember.”
