James Featherston – Klein Cain Salutatorian

Klein Cain salutatorian James Featherston is a great student and active sportsman.
After graduation, James will head to the University of Texas at Austin in the fall to study Computer Science.
Aside from his many accomplishments in the classroom, James also stays busy with extracurricular activities. He is involved in the Ping Pong Club, Science National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. In addition, he is quite the athlete spending his free time playing Volleyball, Baseball, and Soccer.
Maintaining remarkable grades, an active extracurricular calendar, and a social life is important for anyone, including this salutatorian. James considers himself lucky to have adults at his school to talk to. James notes that English teacher Anny Martinez has helped him navigate complex academic and life situations.
“When I first walked into her classroom, she immediately distinguished herself as a very compassionate and hard-working teacher. Alongside her outstanding teaching, she made sure to connect on a personal level with her students,” James said. “She made me a better reader, a better writer, and a better person. I cannot thank her enough.”
Great job, James! Your hard work and dedication don’t go unnoticed, and your Klein Family knows things will only get better from here!
